Fifth Grade CODING Contest Results!
Starting the first week of December, Mrs. Evans’ fifth-grade computer class began a Computer Science Foundations unit, including learning to write some code.
The fifth-graders participated in the worldwide Hour of Code event December 7-13, 2015. They went on to compete in a 9-weeks line of code race against the other fifth-grade homerooms at Wake Christian Academy.
At the conclusion of the contest, the collective WCA 5th-graders had written an outstanding 52,000 lines of code!
We celebrated our top coders with a pizza party on February 11th! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE CODERS!
