Areas We Serve: Wendell, NC

Wendell, NC, was founded in the 1850s when tobacco farmers in Granville County headed east to find fertile land for their crops – and the area hasn’t stopped growing since. But while Wake county continues to expand, Wendell continues to thrive with a small-town feel, with access to all the capital city has to offer. So if you call Wendell home and are looking for a world-class Christian school education, visit Wake Christian Academy today to learn what we have to offer your family.

A True Christian Education

At Wake Christian Academy, we believe that a truly Christian education must be built on the knowledge that all truth is God’s truth. A student can more fully make sense of science if he knows the Creator. History can be best explained when focusing on the involved, sovereign hand of God. The perpetual principles of mathematics point to a God who is infinitely creative, yet “is the same, yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). When God is left out of a lesson, a student’s understanding can only take them so far.

Academics At Wake Christian Academy

At Wake Christian Academy, from Kindergarten through 12th grade, we believe in equipping our students to take on the challenges of the world with a solid, spiritually based education. We strive to teach our students to humbly submit to God’s truth in every area of study, to think critically about the world, and to engage the culture around them with grace, courage, and faith. From the first days in Kindergarten through senior year, students are shepherded by spiritually mature teachers who seek to exemplify the power of a mind truly transformed by the Gospel.

Wake Christian Academy is a fully accredited member of the following organizations:

Campus Life

There is more to life than what goes on in the classroom, and at Wake Christian Academy we seek to have a campus life that gives our students spiritual and intellectual opportunities for growth beyond the blackboard. Bible classes and chapel services allow students to focus on the word of God, creating a solid foundation on which to build their lives. Students also have opportunities to walk in the faith through missions and service projects, allowing them to take their beliefs into the community. There are even summer camps for all grade levels for students to better themselves through various programs.

Athletics

The athletics programs offered at Wake Christian are about more than just winning – they’re about showing our faith through competition. Students have the opportunity to learn the value of hard work, sportsmanship, and healthy competition by participating in a wide range of athletic programs including baseball, swimming, track and field, softball, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and cross-country. We view these programs as not only a way to teach physical skill, but to minister to our students, and for our students to demonstrate their faith.

Fine Arts

God has blessed our school with many talented students, and we believe that it is important to foster these gifts to bring Him glory through our the Fine Arts. From Kindergarten through high school, students have the opportunity to develop their gifts with the guidance of teachers who have a passion for sharing their love of God and the arts with students. Programs include band, chorus, handbells, visual art, drama and more.
