Fulfilling A 30 Year Dream-In-The-Making

vickiscottThirty years ago, Vicki Scott felt led to teach children to use the gift of music for God’s honor and glory. Teaching at Wake Christian fulfills a dream 30 years in the making, but it was a long road getting there.

Mrs. Scott started out with a career in Engineering.  After that she moved to Music Ministry and eventually Education, finding she loved having the opportunity to work with students. Feeling called by God to pursue teaching, she approached WCA for a position in the Fine Arts Department.  Having had children enrolled at WCA, she valued the Christ-centered education and felt led to serve in that type of teaching environment.  “God has gifted each of us as His children and it is our responsibility to work within these gifts.  I am passionate about music and to share this passion with students.  I pray that they will not only learn about music itself, but that they will learn how to praise and worship God through music and come to know Him and feel His love while using it”, states Mrs. Scott.

Mrs. Scott, now in her fourth year teaching at WCA, strives to get to know each student personally and prays for them and their families. Her evident love for the Lord and desire to be used in His service, helps her as she works with students while going through the Middle School years: a time of tremendous growth and change.
