WCA Alumni Helps Shape The Next Generation

“Wake Christian helped shape me into the person I am today.  Now, teaching at Wake gives me the opportunity to help shape the next generation.”

Ericka Dollar loved to play “teacher” growing up.  A native of Raleigh, Ericka attended Wake Christian in her formative years and found the atmosphere very encouraging and uplifting. Now as a Middle School Science teacher at WCA, Miss Dollar tries to give her students the same level of attention.  “Wake Christian helped shape me into the person I am today. Now, teaching at Wake gives me the opportunity to help shape the next generation.”

Miss Dollar strives to include spiritual teachings in her classes by bringing in Christian articles about what is going on in present day that relate to the material being taught in class.  One of her favorite things about teaching Middle School is that “the students are always keeping you on your toes.  They make you laugh and can really get into the lessons. I love that.”
