Merry Christmas WCA Family!

Thank you for your generous giving over the past few months. The food drive held in October was very successful and the Community of Hope was thankful for the overwhelming response to our food drive. With your generous food donations, the 5th graders worked diligently sorting and stocking the shelves to help provide food to the Garner area residents who are presented the gospel and the plan of salvation as they come to First Baptist in Garner for their life changing ministry.

In November, we held a successful coat drive thanks to many of you who donated.  With 280 coats collected, the Matthew 25:21 ministry, headed up by Cindy Stachowski, will be able to share the gospel as they provide warmth to those living on the streets in our communities as the temperatures drop this winter season.

In early December, those who gave to the Joy Toy collection helped to assist Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Greater Raleigh area with toys for The Good News Express. The Good News Express is taken to various communities in our area from December 1 – 22.  Among the things shared by the Express are a birthday party for Jesus, the Christmas story, and a free toy store for the adults to choose presents for their families.  What a great way for our WCA family to help meet the needs of our community and share the real reason for the season at Christmas.

Coming this April, some of our students have chosen to travel to the Dominican Republic to participate in our annual Spring Missions trip during their Spring Break. We will partner with Kids Alive International in the Dominican Republic at the residential children’s home. While there, the students will work in various ways to help achieve the long-term goals of rescuing at-risk children and transforming their lives and their communities. Please consider making a donation to the mission trip and committing to pray for those going. Your support of this wonderful opportunity to minister to and share the love of Christ with the children in the Dominican Republic would be very much appreciated.
