Middle School Student Council Retreat

Our Middle School Student Council members took part in their annual retreat last week!  Advisor Kayelyn Rochester says she is so proud of our students and how they represented Christ and Wake Christian Academy as they spent time at New Life Camp. As part of their activities, they participated in a group challenge, allowing them to earn points based on how they handled multiple activities.

Ms. Rochester commented that her group really worked together on the ropes course and encouraged one another – and won that challenge! They also had the opportunity to dive deep into God’s word and discuss four key aspects of leadership:

1. Realize: We must realize that God uses whoever He wants whenever He wants, and He has a plan for me.
2. Recognize: We must recognize our gifts and talents and use them to glorify the Lord.
3. Internalize: What does it look like for me to be a leader where I am at? The foundation of leadership is prayer and knowledge of God’s word.
4. Strategize: We are called for His purpose. How do we implement what we have learned in our school, churches, sports teams, etc.?

May the Lord bless our student leaders as we’re all challenged to live every day for HIM!
