First-Hand Learning

It’s one thing to listen to a teacher talk about the history of our nation, or to read about exotic animals, but seeing and experiencing these things first-hand can open up a world of discovery. At Wake Christian Academy, we believe field trips are a vital part of learning, allowing students to encounter what they study in the classroom. From the 8th grade trip to the North Carolina Aquarium to the senior class trip to New York City, students are able to take part in valuable learning experiences for themselves, creating a deeply-rooted knowledge of the world around them. By participating in these real-world lessons, knowledge is made tangible and students are able to see everything that learning has to offer throughout their lives.

Discovering Passions and Growing Gifts

An important part of every child’s education is uncovering passions, connecting with others who share in these passions, and developing skills and abilities in new areas. By offering a wide range of after school activities and clubs, we are able to help every student discover and grow in their unique areas of interest. From automobile repair, to jazz band, to a mock trial club, students can delve into their curiosities and advance their skills through the guidance of a dedicated adult leader.

Building A Community

A school should be more than just a collection of classrooms; it should be a community of supportive staff, dedicated faculty, and students with a passion to learn and grow. School events such as Spirit Week, Homecoming, and the Fall Festival are more than just an opportunity to have fun, we see them as a valuable time to build a strong bond within the body of our school. As students develop academically, socially, and spiritually, we seek to provide a fruitful environment in which they can grow to become happy, healthy, and successful young men and women.
