Freshmen – The destination for the freshman class trip is TBD.

Sophomores – The sophomore class enjoys a day trip to the NC Zoo. This trip reinforces the concepts taught in General Biology and gives the students the opportunity to see some zoological specimens in an environment that approximates their native environment. In fact, they observe many of the species of animals and plants that they have studied in class!

Juniors – The junior class takes a trip to Washington, D.C. to tour the nation’s capital, discovering how our nation came into being and how it operates today.  They study United States history during their junior year; thus exploring Washington, D.C. allows them the opportunity to visit many of the unique historical sites and government buildings studied in the classroom.  This a three day trip that gives the class a time to enjoy a break from the classroom while experiencing an unforgettable learning experience.

Seniors – The senior class takes an educational (and fun!) trip to New York City.  Our seniors take this trip in May and experience this large, cultural, metropolitan area.  Visiting New York City allows our students to see the diversity of the world in which we live. Their lives will be enriched by the exposure to new places and unique and unforgettable experiences that a classroom cannot provide. This trip offers the student a better understanding of our word, broadens awareness of the perspectives of others, and deepens cultural appreciation.
