January’s Employee of the Month Amanda Hodgins
Described by one of her students as “an amazing teacher,” Amanda Hodgins is enjoying her first year teaching 9th Grade Girls’ Bible, Home Economics, Drama, Study Hall, and now 8th Grade Girls’ Bible at WCA. That student went on to say, “She has made such a positive impact in my life and she deserves this award tremendously.” Amanda says receiving the award was “totally, wonderfully, unexpectedly humbling. God gets all the glory for this because it is only through Him that I can do anything worthwhile.” For more on Amanda Hodgins and our Employee of the Month program, click here.
She went on to say, “The thing I love best about teaching here at WCA is being able to put God right at the beginning, middle, and end of every lesson. Having Him be the purpose for everything I teach helps me develop a love for Christ within my students, who are really my extended family. I love and care for every single one of them and I want them to love learning. Even more than that I want them to grow a desire to serve God every day of their lives. The best thing I can share with them is God and His unfailing, unending, merciful love. My prayer every day is that God will allow me to be His voice and His light in His timing.”
Congratulations, Amanda, on this much-deserved award! It is teachers like you that help make WCA such a Christ-centered school!
