The elementary years are handled with great intention at Wake Christian Academy. Led by Christian teachers, our program nurtures each child to reach his or her full potential. In a stimulating and developmentally-appropriate environment, students develop socially and emotionally while laying critical foundations for a life of learning.
Elementary school teachers at WCA are passionate about engaging the mind, body, and spirit to nurture whole-child development. In small classes, students receive a great deal of personal attention, with ample time to work individually and in groups. Most of all, they are mentored by Bible-believing adults who invest daily in their education.
WCA’s academic curriculum for the early learning years is built around the core subject areas of reading, math, social studies, and science. Guided by the central principle of our school’s educational philosophy, all truth is God’s truth, teachers help students understand how Scripture is living and relevant in their lives. Our elementary school program is challenging, but characterized by a supportive environment that ensures students thrive.
Our curriculum extends beyond the classroom, giving all students the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences. From field trips to enrichment courses such as foreign language, music, art, and technology, horizons are expanded and passions are discovered early on. As students get older, they are encouraged to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities including athletics, fine arts, and missions.
As students develop strong academic foundations, they strengthen their spiritual foundation as well. Our program has an unwavering Christ-centered focus, integrating Biblical truth across all activities and emphasizing the importance of authentic faith. In addition to regular Bible lessons and weekly chapel time, students get to participate in several outreach projects throughout the year.
