Austin began his journey at WCA as a student in Mrs. Bowers kindergarten class. He is now a senior gearing up for graduation in May! During his time at Wake, he was a captain of the swim team, served as a football manager and is a current member of the Varsity track and field team. He attends Midway Baptist Church and his favorite verse is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” (NASB)

Austin is well on his way to achieving his career aspiration of becoming a welder on offshore oil rigs. He is currently enrolled in the Career and College Promise (CCP) welding program at Wake Technical Community College where he received his Welding Technology Certification in December of 2024. Austin intends to “invest well and retire early”. He tells us “I’m known to be an ‘old soul’ with many facts. I have been lucky in life to experience many things and I hope to continue having those experiences.”

“WCA has been a great educational journey with lifelong friendships and lasting memories.”
